Established and created by native Lebanon residents and Co-Founders Denise Devery and Trevor Downey, Warren County Theatre Project is a non-profit organization designed to provide Theatrical Arts and Entertainment to Warren County and fellow local communities. Our Mission is to provide arts and education, dance performances, and a professional working environment for local talent and patrons. Through structured education, technical training courses, and live performances, our performers gain a sense of knowledge and confidence to foster their theatric and artistic endeavors.
Performers involved in Warren County Theatre Project productions will be eligible to apply for scholarship money to be granted annually for post secondary education. The money will be available to professional as well as student performers.
Trevor Downey- Artistic Director A native of Lebanon, Ohio, Trevor resides in Los Angeles, CA. He is currently a principle dancer for The Union Dance Project, which performed at Jacob’s Pillow Dance, in 2015. Trevor is an original cast member of Disneyland’s main stage show: Mickey and the Magical Map. In addition, Trevor currently teaches at Santa Monica’s Dance Studio No.1 and is a co-owner of Dancekids Studio in Lebanon, Ohio. Past credits include touring the county in the 1st National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles starring George Hamilton, Radio City Music Hall in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and New York Musical Theatre Festival’s Petrouchka, (Soldier) for which he was awarded the Best Individual Performance Award. His favorite credit is performing the role of Mr. Mistoffelees in the 25th Anniversary National Tour of CATS. International credits Odyssey Dance Company tour of Germany, CATS in Brazil, Cirque’s Carnivale in Romania, and On The Radio with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Regional theatre credits include A-Rab in West Side Story, Nicole in La Cage Aux Folles at Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL, Sugar… Some Like It Hot the Musical at Gateway Playhouse in Long Island, NY, Christmas Dreams in Branson, Missouri, Disney World’s Celebrate the Seasons, as well as many performances for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. Trevor’s choreography credits include Music Theatre Kansas City productions of Chicago and Suessical the Musical, Once Upon a Mattress, Sound of Music, Energy NDC Nationals Opening Number, workshops and conventions all across the country. He started the Dancekids Competition in 2003 with 4 dancers. Denise has been the owner and director of Dancekids Studio in Lebanon for the past 20 years. As studio owner, she has been the director of the studio’s award winning competition team as well as a teacher for classes of students from ages 3 – 18. Studio alumni have gone on to dance in college dance programs such as those at The Ohio State University, Wright State and Pointe Park University. Lynn Kinamn: Lynn is the owner Reliable Tax and Bookkeeping, a full service firm providing services to individuals and small businesses. She is an attorney, licensed in Ohio since 1994, with a current focus in estate planning. Her undergraduate degrees are in accounting and computer science and is a graduate of Xavier University’s XMBA program. She is a resident of Lebanon, Ohio and a mother of 4 children. As a child, she participated in dance and her own daughters are now dancers. It was this background that led her to enjoy and appreciate performing arts and she is happy that her own children are developing that same passion. As a board member, she will be heading the committee which will grant scholarship money raised to participating seniors.
Mary Bebout: a musician, educator, and proud supporter of arts. She is a percussionist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and the Middletown Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with various ensembles throughout Southwest Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education from Indiana University, Bloomington with a concentration in percussion and a minor in business. She earned her Master’s degree in music education from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mary has an extensive teaching background that includes public school teaching and private instruction. Previously, she taught high school instrumental music in Montgomery County, Maryland including concert band, jazz band, and string orchestra. She also served as an adjunct percussion faculty member at Miami University (Ohio). Most recently, Mary owned and operated a successful private music studio where she taught musicians of all ages and abilities.Mary resides in Lebanon, OH with her husband and two children. As a board member, Mary will use her experience to advance the mission of the Warren County Theatre Project and promote the talents of local performers, bringing arts and theatre to the community.
